In a few days, I’m headed to Europe for three blissful weeks. So as any Virgo would do, I’ve prepared a packing guide to help you create an end of summer capsule wardrobe for your next European adventure using carry on only.
On the itinerary is a quick stopover in Dublin, a few days in London, a friend’s wedding in Kent then to Rome and Tuscany, and capping it off with Paris. It will be my first time in Rome and Tuscany and I am almost salivating at the prospect of daily pasta and having a glass of wine as I overlook the Tuscan hills. It seems *peak* Tomato Girl summer, am I right?
So, with at least six different cities on the agenda and a variety of activities, I knew planning ahead and building a capsule wardrobe was going to be essential. Dublin and London call for cloudy mild weather (18-22°C) while Rome and Tuscany should still be on the warmer end (22-30°C) and Paris is still up in the air! It could end up being warm or it could be closer to London temperatures with some rain.
As a gal whose luggage has been lost a time or two, I also swear by doing carry on only. In addition to a wedding guest outfit, I needed options for sightseeing, museum hopping and wine tasting, as well as clothes that would be comfortable for the continuous travel between cities. To get started, I used pieces from my summer capsule wardrobe to build the foundation for my European travel capsule.
I’d love to know what you think. Will you be trying a capsule wardrobe the next time you travel? Share in the comments below!
