The cropped blazer is suddenly having a moment. It’s more youthful and modern than the traditional cut and is such a versatile layering piece. It can dress up a simple outfit for a night out or add an interesting proportion to a simple outfit.
After seeing the cropped blazer pop up on runway shows in the fall and then subsequently on everyone on Instagram, I thought it was high time I dig mine out of the closet. Note: Consider doing a closet refresh and grouping your like items together so you *remember* you have a cropped blazer.
I bought mine from Club Monaco more than 10 years ago from the sale section back when I was a university student (and a more frugally minded shopper). Considering the cut and quality of a garment is such a simple way to test whether that piece has longevity in your wardrobe and whether it will truly be a sustainable buy.
